Job Description
Duty Position Title:Event Planner (Part- Time) Work Location:AFC HQ in Austin, TX Clearance Type:SECRET Travel: 10- 20% Scope: Assists with planning, organizing and executing AFC events to include senior leader summits, conferences, town halls, offsites, staff rides, training sessions and other forums. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with event planning to include course of action development, scheduling, cost estimating, stakeholder coordination, venue research and other pertinent considerations.
- Coordinate for and/or provide facilities and equipment necessary to conduct events including venue reservation, IT and audio-visual support, training aids (e.g., white boards, easels, writing utensils & related items), staging, seating, tent rentals for outdoor events, etc.
- Coordinate for and/or provide speakers and training facilitators for events, as required.
- Provide logistical support for events including transportation, set-up/tear-down, catering, food consumption items (e.g., disposable plates, napkins, cups and utensils), badging, etc.
- Education: N/A
- Minimum of 5 years direct, relevant experience planning, coordinating and executing events and conferences.
- Experience working with Government organizations preferred.
