Salary: $70,000-$85,000

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Answer admission calls/emails from Community Providers and Business Development
- and document in agency’s CRM and/or EMR. Update Communication Logs regularly
- Utilize appropriate bonding techniques to establish rapport and build relationships throughout the call
- Follows the defined call flow and follow up processes
- Maintains communication with the Business development, facility, the patient, their family, and/or the referral source
- Effectively leads the caller to the highest level of qualification (private pay, insurance, government
- insurance, or no insurance) while maintaining credibility
- Utilizes other key team members when encountering barriers to assist the referral and admissions process of potential prospects
- Meet established monthly and/or quarterly goals
- Coordinates the intake of clients (logistics, availability and transportation) while communicating with Directors, Program Managers, Facility Technicians, and Drivers.
- Coordinate all VOB’s with our billing coordinator in a timely fashion
- Complete pre-admission assessment indicating drug use history and medical condition
- Collect applicable client insurance deductibles, co-payments, and create financial documents
- Appropriately screen clients for violent history, sexual offenses and suicidality through a phone assessment
- Screen clients to ensure that they do not present with any of the exclusion criteria identified by the Medical Director
- Coordinate pertinent information with Utilization/Concurrent Review Specialists and Billers
Case Management processes
- Notify referring agency when the client admits, steps down from residential and discharges, either on scheduled date or AMA
- Send weekly progress reports to referring facility
- Set extension request dates with referring facility
Computer Skills:
- Computer Literacy in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in KIPU EMR and CRM preferred
Certificates & Licenses:
- Valid Driver’s License
- CPR/First AID
- Drug and Alcohol Counseling Certification Preferred
- Current TB
Minimum Qualifications
- Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor I or II, or bachelor’s in social work or Business Administration or Criminology, or Health and Human Services or at least 2 years’ of experience in the field
- At least 2 years’ experience relevant to working in addiction treatment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience relevant to working in addiction treatment
- Able to prioritize and have excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous admissions experience preferred
Experience:
- 2 years experience in the field of addiction and mental health or equivalent human services work experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Medical Clearance to work within past year
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift/carry 20lbs
- Moderate frequency of computer keyboarding
- Moderate frequency of viewing a computer monitor
Work is performed both remotely and in mobile situations with 24 hour availability. Work is periodically performed in emergency and stressful situations.
