Washington County Community Corrections is seeking a talented team player to join us as a Senior Administrative Specialist. As part of the Community Corrections Management Information System (MIS) team, this role provides diverse administrative support duties and functions requiring a high level of integrity and the ability to be detail oriented.
On any given day you will find yourself:
- Receiving and processing court judgments.
- Quickly and accurately processing time-sensitive documents related to community corrections.
- Preparing files for transfer to other county agencies.
- Running daily reports.
- Responding to time-critical requests from deputies and police officers in the field, court staff, district attorney's staff, DHS, probation officers, or staff in other counties.
- Performing a variety of accounting duties.
Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is a team player who can also operate independently as needed, has the ability to take direction, and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will possess a professional positive demeanor, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to learn new computer systems. Although not needed to be successful in this role, knowledge of public safety systems (CJIS, LEDs, etc.) would be helpful.

About the Department
Washington County Community Corrections serves an important role in keeping our community safe. This department works to prevent the recurrence of crime among adult Justice Involved Individuals (JIIs) by holding them accountable to the conditions of their supervision while supporting their efforts to live successfully in the community. Community Corrections supervises approximately 2,800 individuals using a range of evidence-based strategies while working in partnership with the Courts, law enforcement, and the Oregon State Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision.

The Senior Administrative Specialist performs a variety of administrative support duties of considerable complexity requiring thorough knowledge of the organization and its procedures and operation details; prepares correspondence using considerable independent judgment in content and style; performs skilled word processing and keyboarding; and supervises support staff.Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative or clerical support.
Additional department specific requirements:
- Must pass a comprehensive background investigation.
- Ability to become LEDs (Law Enforcement Data Systems) certified.
- Ability to become notary certified.
