Job Responsibilities

Performs administrative support duties for client services in the Health Department clinics. Implements and adheres to agency/program policies and procedures for efficient service delivery. Provides quality customer service and maintains strict confidentiality.
Meets, interviews, and directs public health clients per program policies.
Processes information, completes medical record and updates client profile in CARES, E.H.R., etc.
Enters all client information into applicable electronic applications to include CARES, E.H.R., Private Pay.
Answers the telephone and schedules appointments in CARES, E.H.R., as needed.
Screens and updates eligibility based on program requirements/guidelines.
Adheres to Third Party/Private Pay policies when applicable.
Completes the deposit for the Health Department according to policy and procedures.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Agency Additional Requirements: High school diploma and one (1) year medical office/clinic clerical experience which includes public contact.
Must be able to respond timely and appropriately to frequently changing conditions and to make recommendations concerning procedural improvement to office/maintenance operations.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable transportation.
Must be able to drive to outlying counties and to non-traditional settings.
May be required to travel overnight.
Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift 30 pounds, if required.
Employees are required to participate in disaster preparedness during hazardous weather or other public health emergency, which involves being subject to duty and or available during an emergency response via communications device on a 24-hour basis; and participates in/responds to Public Health Outbreaks and other priority response efforts.
You must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable transportation.
This position may require working early (before 8:30 am), evening (after 5:00 pm) and/or Saturday's.
