Job Title: Assistant Bookkeeper
Responsibilities:
- Assist with governmental accounting tasks, including account reconciliation, payroll, and tax preparation
- Perform technical accounting duties such as account analysis and financial report writing
- Assist with budgeting and bank reconciliation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial information
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Proficient in 10-key typing and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
