Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper on a part-time basis. Job requires familiarity and preferred proficiency with engineering billing and accounting BQE Core software with responsibilities to maintain accounts, process payroll (bi-weekly), assist owner with processing accounts payable/receivables and company filings, and perform light office duties (e.g. scanning and electronic filing).
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist with data entry of financial transactions into BQE Core and ensure books are up-to-date and accurate.
- Prepare monthly banking reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate and complete financial reports for owner review as needed.
- Process bi-weekly payroll.
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks such as scanning, e-filing, organizing project documents, and maintaining company records.
- Prepare draft tax documents and Interface with outside accountant as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, OneDrive) suite
- Familiarity with BQE Core software preferred
- Familiarity with Paylocity or similar payroll system(s)
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and analysis
- Solid clerical and administrative skills
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or similar role

Other:
- Remote work is acceptable for certain tasks; however, candidate must be available for periodic meetings and work at office.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 8 per week
