The Billing & Collections Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the department by providing comprehensive administrative support. This position involves managing various tasks and responsibilities to assist in the overall functioning of the department. This position will handle a wide range of duties, including but not limited to clerical tasks, scheduling, document preparation, and communication facilitation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. The successful candidate will be a proactive and reliable team player, capable of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion. The Administrative Assistant will be a key contributor to the Billing & Collections team, contributing to the overall success of the department through their dedication to excellence and professionalism.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills or Other Requirements

- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role. Familiarity with office procedures and the use of office equipment is desirable.
- Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant applications. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new programs and technologies.
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accuracy in administrative tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to interact professionally with colleagues, insurance companies and patients is essential.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and managing competing priorities effectively.
- A proactive approve to problem- solving and the ability to think critically to resolve issues as they arise.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a team and support colleagues when needed.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work environments. Willingness to take on new and more responsibilities and challenges as necessary.

Preferred-
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Additional education or certification in office administration or related fields is a plus.
2+ years’ experience preferred, in a healthcare setting a bonus.
