B’nai Jeshurun Congregation, a warm, vibrant Conservative synagogue in Pepper Pike, OH is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to serve full time as the Administrative Assistant of our congregation’s Youth & Learning Center (YLC) & The Bridge – Young Professionals Group. The YLC is dedicated to fostering a love for Jewish learning, culture and traditions, serving as a cornerstone of our community and providing children of all ages and their families with a nurturing environment to explore their Jewish identity, deepen their understanding of Jewish values and develop a strong connection to their heritage. The Bridge is Downtown Cleveland & The Near-West Side’s largest Jewish young professional group, connecting Jews in their 20s & 30s across Cleveland and offering happy hours, events, dinners & more.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Serving as key initial contact for all calls and visitors
- Preparing & overseeing Religious School registration process
- Publicity & marketing for all YLC & Bridge programs & initiatives
- Communications with congregants, school parents & Bridge participants
- Maintaining calendars, ShulCloud data base for congregation and Little Green Light database for The Bridge
- Maintain and order supplies as needed for the Youth & Learning Center, The Bridge and congregation
- Assist in seasonal events such as holidays, Shabbatonim, 1st Grade Consecration, 10th Grade Confirmation, etc.
- Coordinating logistics (i.e. bussing, venues, etc.) for YLC and The Bridge programming outside the synagogue building
- Assembling financial documents for grant reimbursements
Desired Qualifications include:
- A working knowledge of Jewish holidays, practices and terminology
- Ability to extend and reinforce our warm, friendly environment
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new technologies
- Experience with databases/CRMs (knowledge of ShulCloud helpful) Experience in marketing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Constant Contact
- Has strong organizational skills and pays careful attention to detail
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Enjoy working as part of a team and collaborating on projects
- Excellent oral, written and proofreading skills
Position will include working some evenings & weekend mornings during the school year

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
