The Administrative Assistant will provide clerical support for the FCA field office to accomplish the FCA mission and vision and reflect the FCA Core Values in the ongoing work of that office.
MINISTERIAL DUTIES

- Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
- Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
- Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
- Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for appointments/meetings with staff, ministry partners, vendors, etc.
- Handles travel arrangements for assigned staff.
- Receives and screens telephone calls and emails for area office.
- Retrieves, opens, and distributes office mail.
- Plans, organizes, and completes assigned work in a timely manner.
- Manages development of resources and meets deadlines of assigned projects.
- Coordinates donor ministry events, banquets, staff meetings, etc.

The South Bay LA Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is seeking an Administrative Specialist to oversee all administrative duties related to programs and special events as specified by the Metro Director.
You will assist the Metro Director and Board Teams in the planning and management of FCA's programs, projects and special events to ensure they are producing results that are in line with FCA's Mission and Vision.
This high capacity position requires the Administrative Specialist to be highly motivated and team oriented, with above average administrative and organizational skills to support FCA's programs, fundraising events and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all administrative duties related to the establishment and upkeep of FCA Sports in the South Bay LA Area, including back office computer related tasks and compliance with FCA Sports policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative support to FCA Sports programs in the South Bay LA Area, including maintaining accurate records, creating reports, and managing communication with athletes, coaches, and parents as needed.
- Help oversee the Volunteer Investment Program (VIP) which is designed to ensure that volunteers within the ministry feel cared for, communicated with, and connected to the ministry. This includes ongoing communications recognizing birthdays and other special moments in their life. Additionally, help to organize VIP Hangouts and get-togethers
- Serve as the primary staff liaison for the FCA Board Prayer Team, including organizing and leading prayer meetings, coordinating prayer requests, and providing regular updates to the FCA Board.
- Assist as needed with fundraising efforts for FCA in the South Bay LA Area, including identifying potential donors, organizing fundraising events, and communicating with donors to build and maintain relationships.
