Wytheville Community College is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Institutional Advancement Office. The Administrative and Office Specialist III for the Office of Institutional Advancement serves as the office manager and front desk receptionist for the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, the WCC Educational Foundation and the WCC Scholarship Foundation (both of which are private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations), and the Public Information Office. Responsibilities include providing general office management and clerical support, organizing and maintaining files, answering phones, preparing office correspondence, scheduling appointments, managing budget accounts, purchasing, preparing travel requests, and assisting with college-wide marketing projects. Institutional Advancement Office responsibilities specifically include receipting and acknowledging donations to the WCC Educational Foundation and the WCC Scholarship Foundation, maintaining the donor database, and assisting with activities such as the scholarship award process, preparation of grant proposals and reports, fund-raising and college-wide special events, and Foundation Board meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent office administration and office management skills;
Excellent oral and written communication skills required; and
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted office environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cash management experience;
Microsoft Office experience; and
Customer Service experience
