Job Description
Education & Training:Registered Nurse with current RN licensure in the State of Maryland with a Baccalaureate degree (Nursing focused) is required. A Master's Degree in Nursing or an M.S. in Education or Human Resources preferred. Certification in a specialty area preferred. BCLS Instructor Certification required. ACLS, NRP, and/or PALS Instructor Certification is required within one (1) year of hire.
Qualifications
Work Orientation & Experience: A minimum of three (3) years' experience in medical-surgical and/or clinical area of expertise required. A minimum of one (1) year experience in applying the principles of adult education in teaching required.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to provide effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain positive working relationships with customers. Demonstrates ability and skills in independent decision-making, delegation, coaching, planning, and leadership. Demonstrates effective teaching and evaluation skills. Practices effective problem identification and resolution skills as a method of sound decision making. Ability to adapt hours of availability to variable and changing needs of the department. Ability to organize and prioritize effectively in a manner that facilitates completion of assignments and responsibilities within prescribed time frames.
