Shoot Straight is a family of shooting sports retail stores and shooting ranges located throughout the state of Florida. Since 1979, we've specialized in helping our customers understand and purchase firearms for hunting, home defense, shotgun sports, target shooting, and much more.

The admin is responsible for sending daily financial reports and bi-weekly payroll reports to the accounting department, maintaining the store's cash and coin supply, double-checking and logging out 4473's, and also ordering office supplies. The admin is a point of contact for many clerical and administrative tasks relating to personnel.
The admin facilitates the flow of reports, HR information, and sales information between the various administrative offices.
ResponsibilitiesThe store administrator is an essential part of the retail operation. The store admin is accountable for:
- Daily bookkeeping
- Processing membership information of customers
- Maintaining sales, acquisition and disposition records in compliance with BATFE record-keeping requirements
- Maintaining employee files
- Coordinating routine blood and drug tests of staff
- Coordinating billing and payable information from outside vendors
Adminsitrative work doesn't usually require a full shift (9AM-3PM) and so when the store's administrative work is finished for the day, the admin joins the staff on the sales floor.
Retail associates create a safe and secure environment while educating customers and fulfilling their needs. Candidate will work with a full selection of firearms, firearms accessories, and ammunition.
Employees will work successfully in all departments of the store (handguns, long guns, tactical firearms, etc.) also work as Range Safety Officers supervising our indoor shooting range, as well as assist with maintenance of indoor shooting range.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate:
- Has experience in MS Excel and MS Word
- Is very organized
- Takes pride in their work
- Has a strong sense of integrity and ambition
- Enjoys helping people and building relationships
- Is thorough and attentive to small details
Candidate must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and be able to maintain a safe and secure working environment at all times while maintaining a friendly disposition.
Firearm knowledge is a plus, but is not required (we train).
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Pre-employment drug screening and continued compliance with Drug Free Workplace policy
- Criminal background check
- U.S. Citizen or eligibility to work in United States
