Shifts:
- 3 shifts two schedules per shift, 10 hour days
- 1st Shift: Sunday through Wednesday 6:45am - 5:15pm OR Wednesday through Saturday 6:45am - 5:15pm
- 2nd Shift: Sunday through Wednesday 1pm - 11:30pm OR *Wednesday through Saturday 1pm - 11:30pm*
- 3rd Shift: Sunday through Wednesday 8:30pm - 7am OR Wednesday through Saturday 8:30pm - 7am

What they will do:
-Perform/Support Installation and decommissioning of server racks - they wont do cabling
- Use basic hand tools and read a tape measure and a level - may do the installation of a cabinet itself that houses the racks
- they will set and level when installing/supporting the install of the racks and they will plug them in - Meta Techs will do the rest
-Will work with 480 and high voltage (not low voltage)
-Operate within a CMMS
-Grant site access to vendors and/or escort 3rd parties requiring Data Center access for approved activities, and ensure their compliance with site standards.
-Carry out daily housekeeping checks of the data halls, and record findings.
Backgrounds/Experience they will consider:
- hardware install infrastructure (not network guys running programs)
-cabling guys on the infrastructure side, but these techs will not actually do cabling
-Rack and stack techs/engineers
- all maintenance and trade backgrounds: mechanical or building trades such - electrical, plumbing, carpentry, construction, handy-man, high-voltage, automotive, fire-life-safety, HVAC-R, hydraulics
-loves windmill techs
- industrial maintenance
- any line men doing 480/high voltage

About the Role:
As a Data Center Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation.
This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
What Youll Do:
• Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
• Perform or Support Rack/Server Installation and decommissions.
• Operate within a CMMS
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Alert management if subcontractor performance doesnt meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
• Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
• Grant site access to vendors and/or escort 3rd parties requiring Data Center access for approved activities, and ensure their compliance with site standards.
• Carry out daily housekeeping checks of the data halls, and record findings.
• Building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDUs and utilities.
• Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
• Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures. Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met. Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
• Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
• Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What Youll Need:
• Training in a Technical discipline having served an apprenticeship or equivalent and/or a combination of experience and education may be considered. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education may be considered.
• Experience in the following trades is preferred: mechanical or building trades such as electrical, plumbing, high-voltage, automotive, fire-life-safety, HVAC-R, hydraulics, general/industrial building maintenance, etc.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to Meet the physical requirements of this role.
• To effectively present information to an internal department, client, management and/or colleagues.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
