The Administrative Assistant position is responsible for receptionist duties, providing clerical support, and ensuring assigned administrative tasks are accurately and efficiently performed. Duties for this position include:
• Perform clerical tasks to ensure the efficient completion of administrative duties.
• Utilize standard office equipment such as phone, fax, computer and printer.
• Answer phone lines and route calls to appropriate personnel.
• Set up and maintain office files.
• Prepare letters, reports and other correspondence from brief notes and other rough drafts.
• Transcribe tapes of repetitive materials into established format.
• Obtain and provide routine operational information.
• Access and utilize appropriate internal systems to complete assigned tasks
• Compile and record data from numerous sources for delivery to appropriate personnel.
• Utilize computer to perform routine and repetitive data input.
• Perform data input based on available documents.
• Complete basic bookkeeping functions and additional duties as needed.
Job Qualifications:
• 1 to 2 years work experience in an accounting environment
• Wholesale food service distribution experience preferred but not necessary
• Outstanding computer skills, with exceptional data entry (10-key by touch and alpha-numeric) skills
• Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications
• Ability to follow directions and operational guidelines
• Knowledge of the food industry helpful
• Basic reading and spelling for completion of paperwork
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to learn and use internal applications
• Basic bookkeeping skills
• Solid interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic self-starter
• Ability to receive and follow directions
• Ability to multi-task
• Good written/verbal communication skills
• Customer-focused
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent work ethic
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
