Provide general office, document preparation and administrative support for an individual, department, office or designated staff group.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Answer phone and greet visitors; respond to inquiries and provide information using established guidelines or refer to appropriate individual.
- Type correspondence and forms; scan and fax documents, make copies, maintain files (electronic and hard). Receive, sort and distribute mail.
- Schedule routine appointments, maintain office/department calendars and make routine travel arrangements. Prepare travel expense reimbursement according to guidelines.
- Perform basic data entry such as invoices and purchase orders; track purchases/receipts and process for payment. Enter personnel/payroll information in HR system.
- Monitor, maintain and stock office, toner, paper and miscellaneous supplies as needed.
- Maintain/update contact information, directories, departmental lists, email lists, databases and website.
- Compile applications; provide applicant information to faculty; send correspondence to applicants; answer general questions on program/course.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of administrative support experience.
- Computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Good organizational skills ability to communicate with a broad and diverse range of people.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent high school certification and one year of experience in an office or administrative support position.

G06-H
Salary Range
$17.52 - $26.27 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
