Administrative Assistant

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The Administrative Assistant will assist the Supervisor’s Office with all related responsibilities.

Administrative Assistant:

• Greet clients and visitors
• Handle incoming calls and other communications
• Update/maintain adequate resource brochures for public consumption
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of local resources to share with residents for referral
• Register eligible seniors for Township Dial-A-Ride services & reduced-fare RTA applications
• Assist eligible applicants with Benefit Access applications
• Register eligible seniors for Township Programs
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Issue temporary handicap placards and permits, vehicle sticker renewals
• Provide passport, notary and voters registration services

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiar with Windows and proficient with Google software applications (Google Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Forms) andMicrosoft Office Suite
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a busy environment
• Open to learning new methods and skills
• Strong ability and commitment to work in a team environment
• Prior office experience

• Personable, patient, caring, empathic to older adults’ concerns and needs
• Independent, self-starter, with a desire to serve others

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
