Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Hospice & Home Health Director and Business Operations Manager.
Partially remote. Office1-2 days per week
Essential Functions:
Composes or transcribes letters, memoranda, meeting minutes and other correspondence with internal and external associates and providers
Maintains department territory listing for clinical managers and other team leaders
Prepares revisions and updates to Hospice policies, job descriptions and processes
Organize and schedule meetings and appointments for the Director and Operations Manager as well as. prepare meeting materials. supplies, agenda and other documents as needed
Speak with patients, family members and co-workers as needed to support coordination of care of hospice patients
Determine level of urgency of calls and escalate requests through the appropriate channels
Back-up for payroll timekeeper as needed
Assists Hospice Director and Operations manager with various administrative tasks
Identifies and assists with implementing new administrative processes for the overall efficiency of the director and manager
Correspond with vendors and accounts payable department to ensure timely payments of hospice invoices and payables
Backup for coding and billing tasks as needed
Assist in updating Hospice TEAMS site and information data base
Assists administrative team on triaging and answering incoming departmental calls
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED
2 years or more in an administrative support role
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point and Excel)
Preference for health system experience- Medical office support
