Position Summary:
Performs a variety of duties to support the Physician Services Administration team of the assigned department(s). Under the direct supervision of the Physician Services Market Director, the Secretary performs general office work to assist the Market Director in preparing reports, surveys, minutes, correspondence, etc. The secretary will receive, screen and route visitors, telephone calls and e-mails. They will respond to, escalate, and follow up on inquiries and problems as appriopriate. They will schedule/coordinate meetings, conferences, special events, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate's degree is strongly preferred.
Experience: At least six (6) months of hospital secretary experience strongly preferred.
Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Requires Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience.
