The Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in supporting operations and providing exceptional customer service at Advance Transit. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this position handles customer inquiries regarding bus routes and paratransit services. The role collaborates with colleagues across departments and provides comprehensive administrative support as needed. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant acts as a backup scheduler and dispatcher, further supporting the efficient operation of the paratransit program. The position requires periodic Saturday work for paratransit functionalities.
This position is classified as "safety sensitive" and as such is subject to Federal Transportation Authority (FTA) mandated drug and alcohol testing.
Advance Transit is a registered 501(c)3 organization that has been providing public transit services to communities in Vermont and New Hampshire since 1984. This position is located in Wilder, VT. For this role, on-site work is required.

Customer Service- Represent the organization in a positive manner in interactions with members of the community.
- Respond to inquiries regarding fixed route and paratransit services.
- Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.
- Welcome visitors to AT's office.
- Assist various departments with administrative tasks.
- Perform clerical duties (filing, data entry, etc.)
- Manage logistics for meetings (scheduling, agendas, minutes).
- Assist with event planning tasks as assigned.
- Adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

- Prior office or administrative support experience.

Travel is primarily local during the business day.
