Personal Assistant - Family-owned Investment Group
Media.com is hiring a personal assistant to the group CEO. Be part of a fast-growth group of companies on an exciting growth trajectory.
You will play an integral role in a family-owned investment group with interests including Media.com and other internet-based assets. The family is establishing a presence in New York and you will assist in helping the business and family plant their roots.
The role is ideally suited for someone who lives and breathes New York, likes to learn, is prepared to turn their hand to a wide variety of tasks, is good with people (and sometimes kids), and is focused on maximising their manager's productivity.
The role
The key duties include:
- Provide administrative support to the group CEO and his partner
- Co-ordinate tasks with local and overseas team members
- Co-ordinate a wide range of business suppliers
- Assist with event coordination
- Participate in providing feedback on the group's internet-based businesses
- Attend meetings regularly with the group CEO and identify follow-up tasks
- Assist with job candidate screening and reference checks
- Manage the office including greeting clients, suppliers and investors
- Ad-hoc childminding of the founder's nearly 4 year old daughter
Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and qualities:
- 5+ years experience as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant
- A strong commercial acumen (i.e. business is something you are passionate about, understand and are competent in)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional time management
- Professional dress standard
- Highly proficient on a computer including on social networking platforms
Work environment
Prior to the group finding an office the role will be work from home, with meet-ups in Manhattan a couple of times a week with the CEO. Once an office is found it will be a full time office-based role with some flexibility.
Remuneration
Negotiable.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Commission
Salary: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
