What we need:
This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Boston Medical Practice, including Pathologists. Administrative support includes meeting and calendar coordination, arranging travel, processing expense reports, PTO and CME management, ordering supplies, connecting calls, and other basic admin functions. This position also acts as a liaison between Pathologists and the IT helpdesk, Sales, and other internal customers. Responsibilities also include supporting daily Pathologist activities including slide organization, pulling slides, and determining sample volume analysis and distribution.
What you will do:
- To provide administrative support as defined above.
- Maintain and update calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate department activities.
- Track pathologist PTO and CME.
- Provide support to the Quality Assurance Coordinator.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
What you need:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- One to three years of experience in an administrative clerical/medical transcriptionist role is required; experience in a laboratory role is preferred.
- Excellent typing skills, up to 50 words per minute.
- Excellent planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Proven project management skills, including the ability to work independently and under pressure with the initiative to see a project through from start to finish.
- Ability to professionally handle confidential information is critical and required.
- Demonstrated ability to shift direction in response to changing work situations is critical.
- Able to work under pressure within short time constraints.
- Strict attention to detail and organized. Precise when performing clerical tasks.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to shift gears according to the priority of tasks. Possesses a high degree of flexibility, accountability, and responsibility.
- Capacity to work independently once given adequate instructions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and general working knowledge of Internet for business use. Ability to learn new computer systems. Drive for Results (Service, Quality, and Continuous Improvement)
