This position serves as Administrative Assistant for the Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC) in the UC Davis School of Medicine. The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Administrative Director, Administrative team, and also to the CTSC staff under the direction of the Supervisor of Administration.

Minimum Qualifications
- Two (2) years experience in related field
- Administrative assistant experience
- Regular reliable attendance and a positive, collaborative, and congenial attitude
- Excellent organizational skills sufficient to perform multiple tasks and competing deadlines in a matrix environment
- Willingness to assume responsibility to readily and plan, prioritize, and perform various tasks simultaneously and efficiently, under general supervision
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally, in Standard American English, both verbally and In writing
- Ability to complete tasks in a time efficient manner and develop methods for improving program administration
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy and skilled in time management and priority-setting
- Ability to prepare marketing materials for slides, website content. brochures, and announcements
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively within team environment
- Ability to deal with conflict in a constructive manner and adapt to organizational change
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to solve moderately complex problems with effective solutions
- Computing Skills: MS Office Suite -including Word, Excel, Access. PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams. internet
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and materials
Preferred Qualifications
- AA Degree or higher in related field
- Experience working with staff, managers, faculty, clinicians, and graduate students
- Computing Skills: KFS, DaFis, Aggie Enterprise and UCDHS web-based systems or catering
- Familiarity with UC, UC Davis, and UCDHS policies, procedures and resources, including process and procedures on purchasing, travel, direct charge reimbursements, honoraria, entertainment and generally accepted principles and practices
Department Description
This position supports the UC Davis Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC). The CTSC, established in 2006 through a 5-year $25 million dollar grant by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) that has now been extended into a 4th cycle. The CTSC established an academic home for clinical research to transform the clinical and translational research enterprise. The CTSC includes several distinct scientific and educational programs as well as shared resources and clinical facilities to enhance the clinical research programs at UC Davis and provide Investigators with the tools to foster clinical and translational research. Under the auspices of the Associate Dean of Clinical and Translational Research, the CTSC supports Investigators across the School of Medicine and the UC Davis main campus to promote translational and interdisciplinary research. As the academic home for clinical and translational research, the CTSC works with NIH and other funded CTSA awardees to expedite the translation and integration of science from a variety of disciplines into discoveries and treatments that will benefit society.
