- High School Diploma; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- One (1) year of experience in a general administrative, customer service or clerical role.
- Associate degree in business administration or related field.
- Administrative, customer service or clerical experience in an academic or higher education institution.
- Ability to interact professionally with others, internally and externally.
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on integrity and discretion.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality on a wide range of issues.
- Ability to understand basic operational issues and utilize that knowledge in daily work.
- Ability to perform basic level of data analysis including the ability to review, classify, categorize, prioritize and/or reference data, statutes and/or guidelines and/or group, rank, investigate and problem solve.
- Ability to comprehend a variety of informational documents including billing invoices, contracts, grants, receipts, basic spreadsheets, academic related materials, address changes, applications, memos, routine correspondence, and other reports and records.
- Ability to comprehend a variety of reference books and manuals including academic-related manuals, processes procedures and University policies and procedures.
- Ability to prepare receipts, logs, memos, reports, letters, routine correspondence, and other job-related documents using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style in accordance with the department and CSU standards.
- Ability to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, to follow instructions.
