Essential Functions and Primary Duties
- Working under direct supervision supporting clients to ensure alignment on financial and administrative processes
- Reconcile client accounts within software
- Design and maintain workflow for gathering and analyzing data
- Provide research and comparative analysis of accounting data
- Compile and maintain financial records such as journals, ledger balances
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records by inputting data into accounting software
- Support the maintenance of documentation and records pertaining to financial transactions, contracts, ensuring completeness and accuracy to facilitate auditing processes
- Research variances, errors, or anomalies in work product, escalating to management if significant
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
- Prepare reports for management review as directed
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping while meeting deadlines
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, MS Suite (particularly Excel))
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Two years of functional accounting experience
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Able to work in team environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
