Job Description
Position Summary:
The primary duties for this role include processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, record-keeping, and reconciliation, as well as ensuring invoices are paid timely and accurately. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and willing to take on special related projects as needed. Benefits start on day one.
Job Duties:
- Perform the day-to-day processing of high-volume transactions and ensure invoices are processed timely and accurately
- Verify transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
- Prepare invoices for payment
- Process weekly payments (Checks, ACH, and/or wire)
- Prepare manual checks when required
- Process monthly recurring payments, including rent and lease payments
- Maintain various Excel schedules
- Match payments to corresponding invoices, verify signatures, and expense coding
- Resolve supply and service invoice discrepancies/issues
- Answer vendor phone calls
- Maintain electronic filing system for vendor invoices (currently using SharePoint)
- Reconcile Accounts Payable and general ledger accounts
- Process Exceedra (trade promotions management solutions platform) and EDI deduction invoices for payment
- Perform various projects as assigned, as well as special projects and other duties as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma and 2-3 years equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable and maintaining general ledger accounts required
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer skills and expertise in Microsoft Office and knowledge of JD Edwards or similar platforms; Excel and Word proficiencies a must
- Effective organizational skills and ability to juggle projects required
