Accounts Payable Specialist

Forward Financial Intelligence empowers local businesses and nonprofits by strengthening financial operations and distilling better intelligence from financial data. We are seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team!

What will I do?

Support FFI’s books practice with your excellent accounting and administrative skills. As part of the team, your client responsibilities may include:

• Managing A/P (experience with Bill.com or similar preferred)
• Running client payroll (experience with ADP preferred)
• Posting related payroll accounting
• Reconciling bank and credit accounts
• Documenting processes and procedures
• Ability to supporting client HR activities beneficial

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
• At least one year of professional accounting experience
• Strong preference for payroll experience
• Experience with Accounting software (preferably QB online)
• Proficiency with Google Workspace
• Outstanding spreadsheet skills or a desire to develop strong spreadsheet skills

Our diverse clients are almost exclusively in the Charlottesville area, so a passion to serve our local business and non-profit community will be essential. As such, while this work will be hybrid and leaning towards mostly remote, you must be local to the Charlottesville area.
