Accounts Payable And Accounts Receivable Clerk

```Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. As an integral part of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers and has a strong understanding of financial concepts.

Duties:
- Process Accounts Payable invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments
- Review vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Prepare and process Accounts Receivable invoices
- Monitor customer accounts for timely payment and make phone calls followed up by emails for payment.
- Reconcile Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any billing or payment issues
- Provide support during audits by preparing documentation and answering inquiries

- General filing and upkeep of records

- Receive/Post deposits

- Prepare spreadsheets as necessary

- Create job files

- Scan/email customer invoices/AIA's

- Willingness to obtain a notary

- Backup for payroll

- Receive/Distribute mail

- Respond to unemployment claims as necessary

- Attend safety council meeting once a month

- Execute AIA documents/waivers

- Order office supplies as necessary

- Typing proposals

Skills:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Knowledge of governmental accounting principles and regulations
- Strong negotiation skills to resolve billing disputes with customers or vendors
- Experience with Excel & Word programs
- Experience in processing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams
