We are looking for a diligent Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting department. As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will support The Amenity Collective by providing efficient and reliable support to the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analyzing Accounts Receivable financial information, maintaining complete and accurate financial records as it relates to Accounts Receivable, and assisting with routine Accounts Receivable duties. To succeed in this role, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will combine excellent analytical skills and critical thinking skills with a thorough knowledge of AR processes.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed regarding Accounts Receivable status or customer contact information
- Communicate with customers to request payment and arrange payment plans
- Keep accurate records and report on collection activity and receivable status
- AR collections for aging AR balances
- Review and research account discrepancies
- Reconciliations for past due accounts
- Examine historical data for accounts to resolve customer issues
- Compiling and processing customer credit memos and refunds
- Generating reports and statements for internal use
- Performing administrative and clerical tasks as needed
- Support Month-End Accounting activities such as updating reports and Accounts Receivable status
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with Accounts Receivables and/or collections
- Attention to detail is imperative
- Intermediate MS Excel skills
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, attention to detail, and accountability
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Aptitude for numbers, quantitative skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- High School diploma required
