Bethesda Country Club is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This person reports to the Controller and is responsible for basic bookkeeping and record keeping of the club. The Accounts Receivable Specialist's primary duty will be to manage the Accounts Receivable process, however, additional duties include monitoring and/or reconciling assigned GL accounts, preparing and reviewing assigned schedules and be the internal liaison for the Point of Sale system at the Club.
General Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Receivable process
- Audit all daily transactions from restaurants, catering, golf, tennis and other outlets
- Research and correct all transaction discrepancies
- Assist department managers with ticket research and procedures as related to daily transactions
- Post all member and account charges
- Respond to member inquiries in a timely manner
- Post adjustments to member accounts as needed or approved
- Prepare monthly billing statements
- Assist with house account reconciliation
- Prepare monthly Aging Report for Controller's review and assist with processing delinquent, suspension and termination notices as applicable
- Review/Maintain Member Accounts
- Ensure that all member accounts are set up correctly
- Ensure that all necessary billings are applied correctly
- Monitor, review and/or prepare schedules for assigned GL accounts
- Initiation Fees, Deferred Initiation Fees, Assessments, Dues and Write offs
- Point of Sale Liaison
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales analysis reports
- Act as internal resource to all staff for the POS system
- Be familiar with all modules, especially POS/RPOS/Membership
- For issues that cannot be resolved internally, then initiate support request with Clubessential and follow request through to completion
Requirements:
- High School diploma and/or equivalency (some college is preferred)
- Must have 1 - 2 years of hospitality industry experience
- Must demonstrate a clear understanding of basic business and accounting principles
- Supervisory experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have strong organizational skills and pay attention to details
- Must have working knowledge of common office equipment and software (MS Office preferred)
