Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Associate applies cash to customer accounts, creates deductions, and prepares keyed checks for imaging. The A/R Associate also works in partnership with another A/R associate daily.
Functions Performed:
- Applies payments received via lock box and EFT daily.
- Creates deductions, attaches all supporting documentation and forwards to the Deduction Analysts for further processing.
- Reconciles 820 EDI cash application.
- Prepares documents for imaging.
- Processes checks received via daily mail. Prepares deposits and processes them for input.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education, Experience and Knowledge:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computer, word processing, spreadsheet, and 10-key adding machine.
- Good math aptitude.
- Detail oriented and with good organizational skills.
