IMC Outdoor Living a Liberty Tire Recycling Company has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Specialistat our Maryland Heights, MO facility. This position is responsible for keeping all aspects of Accounts Payable current including processing Accounts Payable invoices, timely payment of Accounts Payable invoices, and open communication with vendors and inter-company personal.
Key Job Responsibilities:
· Process Accounts Payable invoices, including matching of invoice, receiver, and purchase order.
· Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, wire transfers, and credit card payments for vendors.
· Verify correct ledger account coding, pricing, and sufficient support documentation of Accounts Payable transactions.
· Work closely with plant management and internal teams to ensure invoices are received, approved, entered, and processed for payment timely.
· Maintain accurate records of vendors, including W-9 and COI.
· Reconcile vendor statements, respond to inquires from vendors and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues promptly.
· Research and resolve any freight cost variances in a timely manner.
· Complete new vendor applications.
· Manage department email box.
· Process intercompany inventory transfers within ERP system.
· Weekly distribution of company credit card holders’ transactions for ledger account coding.
· Maintain accounting ledgers as required.
· Assist with audit requirements and requests.
· Meet all standards of confidentiality and safety. Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
· Work effectively with internal/external customers and co-workers by practicing punctuality, respect for deadlines, collaborative problem solving, and honest communication.
· Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience):
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· 2 - 4 years of Accounts Payable experience or equivalent strongly preferred.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to prioritize work and perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
· Ability to achieve high volumes with high accuracy.
· Tech savvy, and proficient with Word and Excel.
· Detail oriented with accurate data entry skills.
· Advanced mathematical and logical skills.
· Intermediate level computer literacy.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to be a team player.
· Must be able to remain in a stationary position 85% of the time.
· Occasionally must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
