American Metals Supply is a growing metals distributor servicing the southeastern part of the USA with offices located in Tampa, FL. Our company is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist that will be responsible for processing vendor payables, maintaining positive vendor relationships and driving process improvement and automation through the company's Accounting System.
Accounts Payable Specialist Duties/Responsibilities:

• Managing Accounts Payable through the company's accounting software.
• Processing 3-way match invoices and driving systematic improvements in automation of the 3-way match process.
• Reconciling purchase price variances and partnering with the purchasing team to resolve issues.
• Reconciling received not invoiced variances and partnering with the purchasing team to resolve issues.
• Managing offline approval for non-PO expenditures.
• Initiating systematic enhancements to automate approval process for non-PO expenditures.
• Initiating systematic enhancements to automate employee expenditure reimbursements.
• Other ad-hoc functions as required by management.

Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field, preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in Accounts Payable with 3-way match processes.
• NetSuite ERP experience along with proven track record in driving process improvement and automation, highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Competencies: Financial Management, Technical Capacity, Thoroughness and attention to detail, Customer/Client Focus, Problem Solving/Analysis, time management and Communication Proficiency.
• Ability to work independently.

Compensation details: 24-28 Hourly Wage
