What's a typical day as an Accounts Payable Clerk? You'll be:
- Processing Accounts Payable invoices and ensuring timely and accurate payments
- Reconciling vendor statements and resolving any discrepancies
- Assisting with month-end closing activities and preparing financial reports
- Accounts Payable processing
- Vendor payables
- Purchase order-invoice-BOL matching
- Code invoices
- Data entry of invoices for payment
- Monitors/completes vendor credits for raw material returns.
- Responds to all vendors in courteously
- Assist Accounting Manager with customer and vendor inquiries
- Will occasionally assist or complete AR invoicing process or cash receipt
- Sales tax application determination on all vendor invoices
- Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services.
- Manages weekly check runs and Manages Manual check runs (as needed)
- Vendor relations
- Track and request vendor general liability insurance certificates with company as additional named insured, new and upon expiration - only subcontractors
- Track and request subcontractor contracts
- Track and request vendor W-9's
- Prepares vendor cheques for mailing
- Filing and coping as needed
- Assist in Monthly closing as needed
- Ad hoc projects as assigned
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have previous experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk
- Are familiar with using ERPs, preferably EPICOR (training provided)
- Have experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and/or Adobe/PDF editing experience
- Have strong attention to detail and accuracy in your work
- Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
