Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process Accounts Payable and accounts receivable transactions, including vendor payments, invoice processing, and customer billing.
Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and schedules for both internal and external stakeholders.
Expense Tracking: Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.
Month-end Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and accruals.
Compliance: Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and records are readily available.
Ad Hoc Projects: Contribute to special projects as assigned by the finance manager or senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
