Accounts Payable Specialist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Audit and implement Accounts Payable transactions
• Reconcile Accounts Payable and maintain payment records
• Issue and maintain credit applications as necessary
• Support monthly closings
• Assist with 1099 tax forms
• Assist in processing of checks, wire and vendor auditing, and auditing subcontractors
• Responsible for scanning invoices, processing incoming Accounts Payable mail
• General administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Accounting/Business preferred and / or one (1) to two (2) years of experience in general accounting required
• Knowledge of accounting, auditing, payroll and invoicing preferred
• Experience in analyzing payables, charts of accounts, debits/credits, and financial statements preferred
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Problem solving skills with high degree of attention to detail
• Self-motivated; ability to work independently
• Good written and verbal communication skills
