What you will do:
Under the direction of the Accounting Manager and in collaboration with the Junior Accountant, the Accounts Payable Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring all aspects of Accounts Payable processing is completed timely and accurately. This role will complete all vendor bills and the processing of payments in NetSuite. The Accounts Payable Coordinator is also responsible for auditing and approving expense reports in Databasics and ensuring the coding is correct when transferring to NetSuite.
- Review vendor bills in NetSuite for accuracy and ensure proper documentation is complete
- Process on a weekly basis, manual checks, ACH, and wire payments
- Audit and approve employee expense reports timely in Databasics
- Receives, researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning Accounts Payable status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons
- Assist with the preparation of policies and procedures manuals and implement finance close process improvements related to Accounts Payable function
- Perform purchase order maintenance to identify purchase orders that should be closed
- Ensure W9 documentation is on file for all vendors
- Validate vendor bank information for ACH/Wire payments
- Assist with periodic vendor record maintenance and the preparation of annual 1099 forms
- Assist with audit and reporting requirements as needed
- Special projects will be assigned as needed

- 2 plus years of full process Accounts Payable experience, including not-for-profit accounting preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance a plus.
- Experience working with a general ledger accounting system required. NetSuite and Databasics experience a plus.
- Knowledge of federal procurement requirements a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details and ability to work with a large volume of data.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and organization skills.
Compensation:
CSH offers generous benefits, opportunities for professional growth, and competitive salaries based on geographic location. Our range in New York for this role is $62,400 - $66,000. Our ranges are broad, and it is customary for candidates to join CSH at the lower half of the range to leave room for growth, learning, and development in the role and range. It is uncommon for starting salaries to fall above the mid-point. We negotiate actual salaries with final candidates based on their exact location, experience in similar roles, and expertise related to the qualifications.
