Accounts Payable Clerk
Description of Responsibilities
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for efficient processing of payments to company vendors and employees.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk include the following:
- Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial date for use in maintaining Accounts Payable records.
- High level of comprehension and accuracy.
- Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables.
- Protect business against unintentional overpayment.
- Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to venders in an timely manner.
- Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
- Process approved invoices and assist in paying vendors.
- Maintain a great attitude
- Ability to handle multiple companies and deadlines
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good communication skills
- Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
- Participate in the Company’s Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.
- Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma (associate or higher degree in general accounting preferred).
- Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- Computer experience to include accounting
