Accounts Payable Clerk

What You’ll Do

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for a range of general tasks associated with processing Accounts Payable, expense reporting, and vendor relationships. Coordinates and performs a broad range of clerical support in the department. Ensures that requests for information and services are accurately responded to in a timely and appropriate manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Enter data into accounting software and process check runs, which may include check, credit card and/or ACH payments.
• Properly reviews all incoming invoices for approval, and accurately enters invoices.
• Monitor and track check requests each day/week.
• Review operation files and audit data before payment.
• Enter vendors with W-9’s into the system.
• Perform data entry and spreadsheet management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Successful Candidates Must Demonstrate the Following Abilities:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an integrated Accounts Payable environment preferred.
• Industry experience preferred.
• Experience with CargoWise EDI software preferred.
• Advanced skills with using Microsoft applications including Word and Excel.
• Great attention to detail
• Diligent and punctual
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Occasional shift flexibility and occasional over time
• Ability to execute tasks in other departments as needed based on workload and manpower needs
• Strong work ethic and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Working well on diverse teams and highly collaborative.
• Exceptionally motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
