The Accounts Payable clerk is responsible for managing incoming payments by properly tracking them into the system to maintain accurate bookkeeping records. This individual will be responsible for performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables data. This individual will be responsible for preparing bills receivable, invoices and bank deposits.
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
Process accounts, outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Responsible for preparing invoices and bank deposits
Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets and update information as needed
Update client accounts based on payment or contact information
Reconcile the Accounts Payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
Facilitate payment of invoices due
Generate financial statements and reports detailing Accounts Payable status
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying and recording Accounts Payable data
Prepare checks for installers
Record all expenses (receipts, etc.) accurately in Quickbooks
Must be able to manage own schedule and complete multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Must be able to independently initiate steps toward problem resolution in an efficient and effective manner
Must be professional and provide customers with excellent support
Responsible for regular communications with the Accounting Manager and other departments
Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and email
Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and any other functions required by management
Perform any other duties as requested by the VP of Finance or VP of Operations
Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks; strong organization and presentation skills
Accounts Payable Requirements:
Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred
Experience: Minimum two years experience preferred
Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Google Docs
Ability to work well under limited supervision
Strong organizational and planning skills
Attention to detail and problem solving skills
Warm personality with strong communication skills
Have a valid driver license

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
