Property Management Accounts Payable Clerk
Job Description
Objective:
Under the general direction of the Property Management Accountant, handle all aspects of Accounts Payable for Keystone Homes. This includes processing invoices for timely payments and maintaining invoices in an organized environment.
Responsibilities:
· Process invoices for payment in a timely manner for each check processing date.
· Enter data into computer system each day. Maintain vendor information and vendor insurance database.
· Set up new vendors in the accounting data base.
· Prepare check run for controller to print for each check processing date.
· Annually assist with the production of the vendor 1099 forms prior to January 31 each year.
· Ensure all necessary documentation has been collected from vendors prior to start of work and, thereafter, update on an annual basis. (W-9, Liability and Workman’s compensation certificates of insurance, necessary licenses and pricing)
· Continually look into innovative products, techniques, and changes and trends in the home building industry.
· Provide consistent and strong support to Keystone Homes Multi-Family Managers
· Establish standard operating procedures for accounts payable, purchasing, monitor the effectiveness of procedures, revise and improve processes and procedures as necessary.
· Attend regular office or department meetings.
· Communicate and project the Keystone Homes “Building Communities to Enhance Lives” attitude to all customers, Trade Partners, suppliers and employees.
· Understand the principles of customer service and recognize that “good” service often requires a “shocking level of response”.

Prerequisites For Success:
· People skills to articulate and professionally handle communication with suppliers, vendors, customers and co-workers.
· Property Management Knowledge
· Organizational aptitude to keep detailed records and a clean filing system and work area.
· Accounting knowledge to maintain accurate records and schedules.
· Computer aptitude and willingness to learn to process needed data and to communicate via reports, spreadsheets, emails, and letters. Excel, Word and accounting software knowledge and experience a must. Experience with Real Page/Onesite software a plus.
· Willingness to learn new and varied tasks.
· Ability to hold confidential information that is proprietary to the Keystone Homes.
· Ability to analyze job cost variance data and take corrective action.
· Willingness to handle accounts payable issues with vendors when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
