Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling Accounts Payable transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

· Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments to Vendors.

· Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents

· File all invoices and packing slips after checks have been processed

· Keep track of monthly vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

· Maintain accurate records of Accounts Payable transactions

· Compile Expense and Freight Report from General Ledger

· Enter invoices correctly into our Accounting System (Microsoft GP)

· Maintain current invoices from our Max inventory/purchasing system to the Accounting System (Microsoft GP)

· Assist in locating information from past invoices

· Prepare daily Freight Invoices for Account Receivables

· Assist with month-end closing activities

· Any Other clerical/administrative duties as assigned

Skills/Experience Required

· Oral Communication and telephone skills

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Able to read and follow written instruction accurately

· Basic understanding of Accounting Expense procedures

· Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)

· 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or related field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.23 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
