Accounts Payable Clerk

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be familiar with various financial concepts. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Duties:
- Process Accounts Payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and entry into the general ledger
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ensuring timely payments to vendors
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all Accounts Payable transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciling Accounts Payable sub-ledger to the general ledger
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any issues related to invoices or payments
- Gathering of lien releases
Skills:
- knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software and systems,
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with accounts receivable processes is a plus
