Job Title: Accounts Payable/Receivable Bookkeeper
Location: Central Office
Employment Terms: FSLA exempt-12 month
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
The Colquitt County School District is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Bookkeeper to join our team. As the Accounts Payable/Receivable Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the financial records of the district. You will be responsible for receiving the public, operating the telephone system, and serving as a key communicator and coordinator relating to essential operations of the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner
- Reconcile Accounts Payable and accounts receivable records
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Communicate with vendors and other stakeholders regarding financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with district policies and procedures
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
- Performs other clerical duties as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable/receivable bookkeeping
- Embodies the core beliefs of the Colquitt County School District
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
While performing the duties of this job, the employer is frequently required to sit for extended periods. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
