Our dairy cooperative is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate, this hybrid role can be based out of either our Andover, MA or Waitsfield, VT office.
What you'll be doing:
- Receive and log invoices into the accounting software.
- Ensure all invoices have appropriate documentation and all payments are processed in a timely manner, and in compliance with company policies.
- Maintain strong relationships with accounting and other personnel across multiple sites to ensure the timely routing and processing of invoices.
- Ensure purchase authority matrices for departments are kept up-to-date.
- Set up new vendors, including payment terms.
- Manage all vendor inquiries and monitor and resolve all account payable issues.
- Maintain log of wire confirmations where applicable.
- Prepare vendor 1099 filings.
- Perform 3-way match; assist in shaping the department’s workflow as more vendors are converted to system purchase orders
- Manage the integrity of information contained in the Accounts Payable database and files so that information is retrievable for departments, and intact for the annual audit.
What we are seeking:
- Two years of Accounts Payable experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- JDE or NetSuite experience a plus.
- Ability to manage a high volume of invoices with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with 1099 filings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate tasks.
- Eager to assist with special projects across the department.
- Experience in a customer/vendor facing role.
Hourly range of $20-22 per hour
