The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a(n) Accounting Supervisor - Payroll and Benefits, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Ensuring the company's proper accounting related to compensation and Benefits including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations and other internal controls in support of timely and accurate financial reporting
• Developing and managing supporting staff/shared resources, while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Optimizing Payroll and benefit accounting financial close and reporting processes and evaluating key controls for a future implementation of SOX reporting
• Support preparation and external audit of benefit plan financial statements
• Actively support other related processes including but not limited to: compensation and Benefits components of the operating plan, forecast updates, budget to actual analysis, and internal and external audits

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher AND seven (7+) years of accounting experience

OR

• High School Diploma/GED AND eleven (11+) years of accounting experience.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification
• Direct experience in compensation and Benefits accounting
• Experience leading others and contributing on cross-functional teams
• Experience designing, testing, and implementing new accounting systems and processes
• Experience performing, designing, and/or testing internal controls
• Experience working in SAP and Workday
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Experience with the "Big Four" firms

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $133,435 - $163,088, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
