Through initiatives including education programs on abuse recognition and reporting for both children and adults, evidence-based home visiting support for parents, and more, Prevent Child Abuse Utah is dedicated to this vital cause.
Job Summary
This position will report to the Finance/IT Director. The Accounting Clerk will be detail oriented and deadline driven. They will ensure fiscal compliance to all grant requirements and accounting best practices and principles. The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in payroll processing, audit compliance, billing, accounts payable and receivable, and be expected to identify areas for improvement and support the organization as it grows. Responsibilities and Duties
● Assist in organizing and processing financial transactions.
● Maintain the financial filing system.
● Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
● Assist in payroll processing and reports.
● Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
● Assist in monthly grant billing.
● Assist with the annual audit requirements
● Assist in creating and maintaining financial spreadsheets.
● Maintaining agency wide asset inventory.
● Maintain calendar of required annual renewals
● Ensure implementation of annual operational plan.
● Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
● Minimum education: High School Diploma
● Excellent interpersonal communication skills: listening, verbal & written
● Excellent time management and documentation skills
● Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Adobe literacy
● Fearlessness in learning new software (Quickbooks experience a big plus)
● Willingness to collaborate positively with the team and with community partners
● Clean State and Federal background checks
● A strong work ethic
