This employment opportunity is for a Gastroenterologist with a primary interest in a hospital setting. Physician would have responsibility in a location such as New Smyrna Beach, Deland, Orange City or Daytona Beach to cover inpatient GI consults from the floor and emergency department.

Candidate would also perform procedures in the hospital setting and should practice all aspects of Gastroenterology. Candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a desire to build and foster collegial relationships with community based physicians. Our gastroenterology network is aligned with our Digestive Health Institute providing multidisciplinary care to patients across the spectrum of digestive disease. Active Florida license is a plus.

Requirements:

• 7 on/7 off; 182 shifts/year
• Desire to handle a high-volume case load
• Practice all aspects of general Gastroenterology
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills
• Team player with patient-first mindset
• Eligibility for active Florida license

A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence-based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care. The new physician should have the desire to join a busy practice.

ERCP and EUS preferred, but not required.

Board Certification in Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA) is required.
