Job description
Position Summary:
This position will assist with all operations of the Accounting Department. Assist in maintaining financial records, general analysis, as well as many day-to-day functions of the department.
Reporting Structure:
This position will report to the Accounting Manager. No direct reports.
Responsibilities for Accounting Clerk:
Apply accounting principles, regulations, and policies to all work duties
Assist with regular bank reconciliations
Keep sensitive information confidential
Perform general office support like filing and other administrative tasks
Maintain, verify, and update numerous ledgers
Provide assistance with invoices and payments
Help provide and prepare information for reports in a timely manner
Qualifications for Accounting Clerk:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates degree in accounting or related discipline preferred.
1-3 years of accounting experience
Proficient in Microsoft applications
Effective verbal and written communication skils
Reading comprehension skills strong enough to read and interpret financial documents
General knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures
Strong comfortability in an office environment
Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately
Physical Environment and Demands:
Office setting
Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
