Vaco Denver is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our valued client in the manufacturing industry! This contract position is based in Boulder, CO.
Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the controller, the Accounting Clerk will play a pivotal role in supporting the accounting department with various tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Customer service/answering questions about shipment status/giving tracking numbers.
- Enter orders in accounting software. Log new orders into Google sheet.
- Enter and maintain customers in accounting software.
- Invoice orders. Manage all activity related to invoices.
- Manage all accounts receivable tasks for 2 companies including sending collections emails, making collection calls and tracking all collections activity in Google sheet.
- Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with sales personnel and management.
- Respond to client account inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide support to sales reps by communicating with sales reps, researching orders for pricing, etc.
- Deposit checks in bank and accounting software.
- Process ACH and credit card payments
- Scan invoices, checks and other documents.
- Back up for receptionist answering incoming calls.
- Data entry
- Annual property tax filings.
- Additional tasks as assigned.
- Confident communicator with excellent phone presence

- Flexibility in a changing business environment
- Customer service – 1 year
- Collections experience (preferred)
- Entry level accounting (preferred) – 1 year
- High school diploma
- Proficient in Excel

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
