Position Title:Accounts Payable Clerk
Reports To: Controller
Department: Accounting
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is an entry level position that will complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
·Confirm invoices are acceptable for payment; match invoices with pack slips and/or confirm with purchaser
·Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger account, identifying and documenting appropriate sales/use tax
·Post invoices in accounting software, Sage Intacct, recognizing appropriate due dates and discount opportunities
·Process payables check run, as determined by the Controller and/or CEO
·Process manual and on-demand checks
·Resolve invoice or payment discrepancies
·Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos
·Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
·Audit vendor files for accuracy, requesting W-9s as necessary
·Fulfill sales tax license requests
·Process 1099s
Additional Duties as Needed:
·File paid invoices
·Balance petty cash
·Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
Experience & Education
·High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent learning experience. Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree preferred
·Minimum experience one (1) year of office experience
·Experience in organizing, administrative support, and/or accounting practices preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
·Attention to detail and thoroughness
·Data entry skills
·General knowledge of accounting terminology and math skills
·Reliability in checking own work to ensure accuracy
·Strong organizational and prioritization skills
·Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
·Strong computer skills; able to use and learn multiple computer software and systems (Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.)
·Able to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
